“Intell” has a hack that allows users of the first generation of the iPad to use FaceTime without any issues. Using this hack, you can install FaceTime for iPod touch 4 on an iPad, and use the application in full-screen.
Calls can only be made over WiFi and the video quality appears to be good. Apple officially has released a FaceTime application for iPhone, iPod touch and Mac, but with this hack, even the iPad can be included in the “FaceTime Category”.
With the iPad 2, Apple plans to bring FaceTime, but until then you can try the above hack. The process has got numerous steps involved, but if you manage to get it working, you’ll hopefully like it.
