Apple is reportedly sending out emails to developers mentioning that Push notifications on iOS will now have stronger encryption in the form of 2048-bit TLS/SSL certificates. The data transferred via these connections will now be much more secure.
Apps using push notifications need to be updated. Developers are required to update their push notifications server with a copy of the 2048-bit root certificate from Entrust’s website in order to be eligible to use push notifications.
