Evernote for Android Gets Major Overhaul

evernote 2.0

The ultimate note taking application that allows users to create all kinds of notes and access them from almost any device has been updated to version 2.0 for Android devices. The new Android version adds a slew of features and is the biggest leap evernote has ever taken on any platform.

The new version has an extraordinary interface that brings it close to its iOS counterpart. With the new home screen, you can take audio, video and text notes with just one tap. The application now performs faster than before and can also sync periodically in the background to make sure you’re always up-to-date.

A new search interface, new views, more options and easier sorting and browsing are all part of this major upgrade. Offline notebooks have also made its way to the application that allows premium Evernote users to view and create notes directly on the device in offline mode and save them all onto your device’s SD card.

The Evernote widget has also been changed and now has a better interface. With the new version, you can also create a direct shortcut to some of your important notes in your home-screen. Also included in the update are better storage option, in-app rremium upgrade functionality, ability to download attachments and import content from other Apps to Evernote.
