Google fanatics and info junkies would probably find it hard to imagine a day without Google News, an automated news aggregator based on algorithms.
Last year Google created a spotlight section under Google News that highlighted stories that had a lasting interest, weren’t just typical breaking news feature articles, investigative reporting and opinion pieces. Spotlight Video is also driven by the same concept and plans to appeal users.
Today, Google is adding a new feature called Spotlight Videos to Google News that would algorithmically scan the web for popular news videos and eye catching updates. Spotlight Video is placed in the sidebar in Google News below Spotlight and above Google FastFlip. Clicking on a video opens the video on the same page and you could click on the full-screen button to view the video in full-screen.
