Google iPhone App Update Adds Push Notification for Gmail and Calendar
Google Mobile App for iPhone has just been updated and the App now supports push notifications for Gmail and Calendar. Google would now send you push notifications from your Google account to your iPhone.
Once the App is launched, it prompts you to enable push notifications for your iPhone by signing in to your Google account. When you’ve signed in, you could enable push support for Gmail and Calendar. You could also adjust the time frame and choose to enable sounds between the selected time frame.
Though the feature sounds great, users have found it hard to use it. The notifications are delayed and sometimes users simply don’t get a notification. The App is buggy and the feature is not yet fully developed.
Google has also added new features that let you search for information faster, just like Google Search on Desktop. When looking for flight info, weather, stock quotes or currency conversion you’ll see answers before you even hit ‘Search’.
