You all must have already heard about Flipboard by now. For those who haven’t, it is a free App available on the App Store which presents Facebook, Twitter and news from different sections in a magazine like manner.
Currently, Facebook does not have an iPad App of it’s own and using Safari seems just fine. If you use Facebook a lot, the iPad would seem to be a barrier. The iPhone App for Facebook does not look clear when pixel doubled and is lacking a lot of functionalities of the web version of the popular social networking site.
Setting up your Facebook account on Flipboard requires your email address and password and once done, you’ll be introduced to a whole new world of Facebook, in a magazine like manner. The App isn’t designed to be a complete Facebook client and thus posting status updates is not yet possible. If you are a page owner, you can’t view your page right now.
You get to view your friends updates in a whole new manner and get to experience the update in depth. If the update has a link attached to it, you get to view the link without clicking it. All images and videos can be viewed and commenting on them or liking them is possible via this great free App.
Do you use Flipboard? What do you think? Is it good enough to become your favorite Facebook client on iPad? Do let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
