Apple Tablet or iSlate Confirmed!

Apple, plans to release a Tablet in 2010. The tablet screen size is expected to be around 7-10 inches with complete multitouch and gesture support. On January 26, 2010, Apple is rumored to officially confirm the arrival of the Tablet. But sadly, the iSlate does not sport a DVD Drive which would be annoying.

The device would be demoed in the month of January but would go on sale later in the year probably during WWDC 2010 (or may be in March) The purpose is to give developers enough time to write decent number of apps for the gadget before it hits the market.

hi there wow no opical drive no flash drive or ssd just another slow hard drive and dose not suport hard core gaming and no new next gen console coming out in 2010 with ssd soo i will buy me a 23.5 inch touch screen gate way one with a 1 tb hdd and a 64 gb ssd thats right you get both a hdd/ssd i dont want any more slow hard drives under 10,000 rpm hdd thats right voloci-raptors and cheatas hard drives are the only 2 hard drives that i would buy i would buy a 20,000 rpm hard drive or a laser hard drive at 160 terabytes per second

You are correct about the Apple Tablet.The Apple Tablet seems to just be somewhere between the MacBook and the iPod Touch.

But as of now Apple has yet not announced the full specifications and features about the iSlate. Maybe there is an optical drive out there.Who knows!

Though there are rumors that it does not have one, but I suggest you wait for Apple to disclose the features.

You are also correct about the Gateway one desktop PC. It is truly awesome with MultiTouch and great for viewing HD Moives.

But the Apple Tablet aims for portability. Gateway one with Windows 7 will be damn good.

But again, we suggest you wait before you make a decision. The wait would be only till January 26th as on that day it is rumored that Apple will demo the features of the tablet.

The hard disk in the gateway one is superb with hdd/ssd and I think that this feature you won't get in the iSlate.

So if you are not always on the move and want to enjoy rich graphics with good speed and lots of hard disk space, then the gateway one is for you!

We really appreciate the technical comparison which you made and it are guys like you who make blogging so interesting.
